behalf of the wireless user, providing the user with a view into their
mailbox that is optimized for the small displays and bandwidth constraints
of wireless environments. Through this proxy, the user interacts directly
with their mailbox, performing all of the standard actions such as reading,
replying to, forwarding, and deleting messages. All actions are carried out
real-time, with updates recorded immediately in the user's mailbox. If the
underlying mail system tracks deleted messages in a deleted folder, then
messages deleted from the wireless device are also moved into this folder.
Similarly, if a "sent messages" folder exists, outbound messages from the
wireless device are logged in the appropriate folder. This attention to
detail, together with support for a wide range of messaging systems,
distinguishes Infinite Mobile Delivery from other solutions.
